Ella Weiss Wedding Design Measurement tips
Tips on finding the perfect fit.
measurement chart   HOW TO SELECT YOUR SIZE
We recommend your measurements be taken by a professional seamstress or tailor. Always measure over undergarments for more precise information (it's even better to measure with the particular undergarments you plan to wear). Please do not give bra or jean sizes as these numbers do not reflect appropriate measurements for bridal attire.

If your measurements fall between two sizes, always err on too large rather than too small. Remember, it’s usually easier to take in the garment than to let it out when altering. And while it’s always good to think positive, try not to overestimate the results of a diet program.

When ordering a dress for maternity, moms-to-be should discuss sizing needs with the retailer.

TO GET YOUR MEASUREMENTS
Stand comfortably, with equal weight on both feet and arms resting easily at sides, do not suck in. The chart at left illustrates where to take your measurements.

1) BUST: Measure around the fullest part of the bust, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

2) WAIST: Measure the natural waistline.

3) HIPS: Measure the fullest part of the hips, keeping the tape measure parallel to the floor.

HEM LENGTHS
In order to find the correct lenth for your dress consider the style and where your natural waist is.

Knee length: 28” from waist
Cocktail length: 32” from waist
Floor length: 44” from waist
Extra length: add 5” to floor length
